Learning Outcomes • Principles of teaching critical thinking • Developing an implementation plan tailored to participant’s school • Principles of making thinking visible • Principles of Blooms and Solo Taxonomy, Harvard Project Zero • Milestones of cognitive development in children and juveniles • Getting to know visuals for usage in the classroom • Getting to know the cultural heritage of Berlin Tentative Schedule Saturday: Travel day Sunday: • Cultural educational activity in Berlin Monday: • Introduction and getting to know each other • Introduction to the course, the school, and the external week activities • Icebreaker activities using drama for trust and team building • Identification of needs and goals for each participant and relevant populations. • Brainstorming your own project • Presentations of the participants’ schools. • Principles of critical thinking Tuesday: • Inquiry based teaching • Blooms Taxonomy Wednesday: • Solos Taxonomy • Harvard Project Zero • Creating a detailed critical thinking curriculum lesson plan. Thursday: • Making thinking visible • Finishing up the lesson plan • Brainstorming cross-curricular or school wide inquiry based activities in your school Friday: • Course evaluation: round up of acquired competences, feedback, and discussion • Awarding of the course Certificate of Attendance Saturday: • Cultural educational activity in Berlin Sunday: • Travel day
