About The Event
Green Summit @ BCS Nature Campus
International inclusive climate action youth conference at Campus Müggelsee Berlin, 2nd-4th of June 2023
From the 2nd to the 4th of June 2023, BCS will host a physical conference with streaming and online participation for international students aged 16-20 on climate action. This will happen at our BCS Nature Campus, Müggelheimer Damm 145, 12559 Berlin, Germany.

Schools from around the world can send their delegations to represent the schools, and build stronger international cooperation, enhanced by an action plan for sustainable development of their school campus and the local community. We will be working in two groups; participants must select a group in advance. The choices are Sustainability Innovators (technology and business) and Policy Building (resource efficiency, transportation, construction, food systems, renewable energy, and education).
Each group needs to prepare in advance.
Programme:
Catering will be vegan; please let us know of any dietary restrictions in advance.
Friday afternoon arrival and registration, evening activities.
Saturday:
- Welcoming words. Introduction of the agenda (UN SDGs, Net-zero targets)
- Refreshing beverages and Networking.
- Form groups. Group leader selection (pre-selection) working in groups creates a roadmap of actions.
- Sustainability innovators. Posters and cases will be prepared and demonstrated for short pitches.
- Policy building: Groups will discuss and advocate for their measures.
- Lunch break
- International cleantech showcase (relevant for schools, lifestyle, households).
- Million solar stars project
- Showcasing successful leads and initiatives that participants can join, lead, and develop
- Dinner and after-party with a band
The policy-building group will continue their work to make the final decisions.
The innovators' group will meet to talk about synergies.
Sunday
Action plan and closure
A plenary meeting with a presentation of the selected policies built during the previous day will occur. The group leaders will present the solutions and discuss the steps to create an integrated road map. The Jury will select the best cases from each group.
Berlin students will host a tour of Berlin for international participants.
Certificates will be awarded to the participants.
